Lapis Lazuli Poison Ring in 9ct yellow gold

A cabochon cut piece of rich Lapis Lazuli set in a fun 'poison ring' design. 

These rings originated in India and then slowly made their way through to Europe.  Whilst the start of these rings was all about villainous acts, often in later years they were used to hold perfumed substances to disguise unpleasant smells.
